Brotherhood in Islam

The companionship among the fellow brothers in Islam grows with sincerity, morality and devotion. Sincerity among them leads to Wafâ, which is the consistency in companionship and the utmost level of love and honesty. Our Prophet (pbuh) implemented brotherhood in his companions through which love and honesty grew and their sustenance intensified. By the way, Our Prophet (pbuh) quoted: ”I recommend you yield honest and loving fellow companions, for they are (like) ornament to you at moments of comfort, and safety at moments of disaster.”

“An individual is robust with his fellow Muslim brother. There is no worth in the comradery of an individual who does not desire for you what he desires for himself.”

Umar bin Khattâb (radiyallâhu anh) quoted: “Being friends with fellow Muslim brothers eradicates burdens.”

Khâlid bin Safwân quoted: “Truly the most powerless among individuals is the one who is unable to build friendship with people. The individual more helpless than that is he who ends the companionship with his fellow brothers who could aid him (in worldly and spiritual issues).”

Ibn Mutaz quoted: “Once an individual discovers pure brothers in Islam for himself, they will help him (for all issues surrounding the Dunya and the Âkhirah).” Besides, some Islamic scholars quoted: the most efficient preparation for a rainy day is to attain loyal fellow Muslim brothers.”
